The Parents-Teachers Association of Kiangsu & Chekiang Primary School (‘PTA’) was established half a century ago on 27th April, 1955. It was the first parent-teacher association amongst primary and secondary schools in Hong Kong and can be considered a vanguard of parent- teacher associations in the Hong Kong education arena. Over the past fifty years, our predecessor committees have not only followed our School Management Board’s guiding principle of education development, but they have also embraced the ideology of ‘Home School as one Co-operation’ and worked innovatively to give an enduring contribution to our school. In the 21st century, they made some innovative changes to the PTA to respond to new educational trends, to enable us work more systematically and in compliance with relevant laws and statutes.
It’s our 50th birthday this year, so let’s celebrate our Golden Jubilee together. On behalf of the current PTA committee, I would like to express our sincere thanks to the predecessor committees, and to teachers and parents past and present who have given their selfless contribution to the PTA.
To give our school our full co-operation is our motto. Our aim is to create a more harmonious, friendly and pleasant environment for our children so that they can receive a quality education in a quality school.
Let’s come together as one to make a brighter day.
